We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Commercial Pre-Construction Manager to join our team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated professional to apply their unique experience in the construction industry. The successful candidate will manage commercial pre-construction projects, including design-build projects, and be responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of each project. You will be working closely with a team of professionals and will have the opportunity to lead, learn, and grow within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct pre-construction projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Meet contractual conditions of performance.
• Review the work progress on a daily basis.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Manage the pre-construction process, including conceptual estimates, schematic estimates, and final guaranteed maximum pricing (GMP) estimates.
• Lead and manage the design-build process for commercial projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in commercial pre-construction management.
• Proven working experience in construction management.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
• Familiarity with construction management software packages.
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with design-build projects is a must.
• A strong safety record and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
