Our dynamic and innovative construction firm is seeking a Permanent Contracts and Commercial Lawyer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to work in a fast-paced environment, providing expert legal advice and support on a wide range of contractual and commercial issues. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing customer disputes, collections, liens, and contract disputes, ensuring that our business activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of complex commercial contracts related to the construction industry.
• Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of contractual and commercial issues.
• Manage customer disputes, collections, liens, and contract disputes, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our company.
• Keep up to date with changes in legislation and best practice, ensuring that our business activities comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement effective legal compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to other team members on contractual and legal issues.
• Work closely with other departments, providing legal advice and support as needed.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, if required.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel.
  
  

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Contracts and Commercial Lawyer, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in managing customer disputes, collections, liens, and contract disputes.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial law.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
• Admission to the state bar where the company is located.
• Proven track record of providing accurate and effective legal counsel.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and its legal environment.
