Job Details
We are currently seeking a Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage the accounting team, ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate and timely. This is a pivotal role within our organization, with the opportunity to shape and drive our financial strategy. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the engineering industry, with a particular focus on manufacturing or construction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Provide insight into operational cost and profitability.
- Analyze operational costs, overhead allocations, and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with senior management to formulate the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives.
- Report financial performance to the board of directors and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and strategize the capital structure and budgeting processes.
- Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction.
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- 7 years of accounting experience,
- Manufacturing or construction experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze operational costs, overhead allocations, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
