Our company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. As the Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations. This includes budgeting, financial reporting, cost accounting, strategic planning, and conducting financial analysis to ensure the company's financial health. You will play a pivotal role in the company's financial future, establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to guide the company towards profitable growth. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a knack for numbers.
Responsibilities :
1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and CFO, and Board of Directors.
3. Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
4. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
5. Prepare all necessary financial reports as required for Board meetings.
6. Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
7. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
8. Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.
9. Assist the President and the Board Treasurer with financial reporting as required at Board meetings and the Annual General Meetings.
10. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, ideally in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and strategic planning.
4. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
5. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial audiences.
7. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
8. Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software programs.
9. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
