Responsibilities
As a Permanent Controller, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Overseeing all aspects of the accounting operations including the monthly close cycle, financial reporting, internal control, and policy development.
- Managing WIP accounting, ensuring all work-in-progress costs are properly documented, tracked, and reported.
- Collaborating with the management team to formulate financial strategies and make prudent business decisions.
- Ensuring the company is compliant with all internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and analyzing financial data to identify potential areas of improvement.
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing the accounting team.
- Liaising with external auditors and managing audit processes.
- Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Accounting and Finance industry.
- Proven experience in WIP accounting and management position.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using accounting software and other business-related software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
