Job Details
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Develop the annual business plan with input from all managers.
Direct outside auditors and provide financial analysis and special reports to the Board of Directors as requested.
Maintain relationships with lenders and ensure timely completion of all reports (covenant testing, reports, etc.).
Oversee the daily operation of the accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, Payroll, GL, Product Pricing, Cost
Accounting, Fixed Asset Management, Inventory, Financial Analysis, and Reporting.
Participate in the development of plant-level tactical plans and the effective implementation of company strategic
initiatives. Collaborate with the CEO on financial activities such as merger and acquisition strategy, modeling, and due diligence.
Set financial goals for the company and recommend strategies to achieve them. Identify inefficiencies and advise monthly on how to overcome them by using resources more efficiently.
Participate in market expansion and business unit growth initiatives through acquisition, establishment of new facilities, joint ventures, etc.
Establish benchmarks for accounting functions and work towards achieving common, world-class processes across all operations.
Promote the development of business systems to provide the operational and financial information necessary for decision-making and fiscal control.
Ensure compliance with all corporate, company, government, and regulatory directives and guidelines.
Consult and effectively interface with all levels of corporate personnel regarding the attainment of objectives and adherence to policies.
Develop accounting department personnel through effective delegation of responsibility and authority, formal and informal training, and coaching.
Maintain financial performance per the annual business plan while safeguarding the assets of the corporation.
