Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Oversee daily cash reports and monitor cash flow, making informed decisions to optimize liquidity.
- Provide detailed and analytical explanations of variances between actual financial data and forecasts.
- Analyze monthly financial statements, community performance, sales, production, and cost metrics to evaluate property management and asset utilization.
- Coordinate and manage weekly wire and ACH projections, ensuring seamless payment processing.
- Lead the annual division audit process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Review and approve interim HUD statements, guaranteeing compliance with regulations.
- Audit and approve bi-weekly payroll reports, verifying accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage and supervise the accounting team, fostering growth and development through training and mentoring.
- Oversee manual check processing, ensuring secure and efficient handling.
- Verify monthly commissions and field bonuses, maintaining fair compensation practices.
- Manage construction indirect budgets and perform monthly analyses, optimizing resource allocation.
- Lead departmental budget review processes, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Analyze and report on current financial and operational metrics, driving business growth and improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 5 years of experience (including 2 in the home building industry).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and industry financial reporting best practices.
- Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office suite, and especially Excel.
Salary : $185,000 - $225,000
