Responsibilities
As a Controls Programmer, you will
- Design, develop, and implement control systems and software for automated processes.
- Work closely with the engineering team to integrate control systems with machine functions.
- Develop and maintain HMI interfaces to improve the functionality and user-friendliness of our systems.
- Program and troubleshoot plant electrical control programs to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve control system issues.
- Participate in the commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
- Continuously improve and update control systems and software as per the latest industry standards and technology advancements.
- Document all control system and software changes and developments.
To be considered for this role, you should possess
Experience with Rockwell Automation
- An A.S. degree in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in control system programming.
- Extensive knowledge of HMI interfaces and plant electrical control programs.
- Strong programming skills and a deep understanding of control system architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to learning and developing new skills.
