Based in beautiful Oshkosh, we are a global leader in packaging solutions. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by designing recyclable and reusable packaging solutions! Currently, we are experiencing tremendous growth in our Maintenance and Engineering department. Therefore, we are in search of an Electrical Engineer with Control System experience to join us immediately! Our ideal candidate will have an Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE), experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs, CAD skills, experience with electrical codes as well as NFPA70E codes, along with knowledge of plant power distribution. This position is responsible for assisting Maintenance Technicians troubleshoot machine control issues. Also, this position will be responsible for managing machine upgrades. We are looking to start off the new year with this position filled!

Key Responsibilities
- System Integration Lead the integration of control systems for new and existing production machinery, ensuring smooth communication and interoperability.
- Collaboration Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure compatibility and integration of diverse control systems and equipment.
- PLC and HMI Integration Coordinate PLC programming and HMI integration efforts to create unified control interfaces for streamlined operations.
- Testing and Validation Conduct thorough testing and validation of integrated control systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and adherence to specifications.
- Optimization and Troubleshooting Identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and resolve any integration-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Documentation Maintain comprehensive documentation of integrated systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- Proven experience 3 years in controls integration or a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Expertise in PLC programming and HMI integration (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.) to facilitate seamless control system integration.
- Strong understanding of control system architectures, networking protocols, and industrial communication standards (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting integrated control systems and addressing compatibility issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external vendors.
