We are seeking a talented Senior Controls Engineer to become a vital part of our Operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of control systems and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in creating new sequences and functionalities for both new and existing PLCs and SCADA systems. By applying your technical knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and computer systems, you will ensure that all machinery and processes operate efficiently and safely. What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain, and repair control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and actuators.
• Create new sequences and functionalities for both new and existing PLCs and SCADA systems, and determine the optimal solution for any sequence adjustments.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on control systems to ensure optimal operation, and maintain an adequate parts inventory.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues in control systems, utilizing diagnostic tools and software to identify and correct problems.
• Implement and follow lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance activities.
• Provide training and guidance to operators and other maintenance personnel on control system operation and troubleshooting.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Ideally, 5 years of experience in control systems maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in programming PLCs using ladder logic (LL), function block diagrams (FBD), and other applicable programming languages, with experience in Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
• Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP).
• Knowledge of HMI design and programming using languages/software such as Python, JavaScript, or Visual Basic, and platforms like FactoryTalk, WinCC, Wonderware, Indusoft, and Ignition.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems (e.g., IFIX, Citect, Ignition SCADA, Wonderware).
• An associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree preferred.
