Job Details
Duties & Responsibilities
● Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. implements a system of
controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
● Oversees the production of periodic financial reports. ensures that the reported results comply with
generally accepted accounting principles
● Recommends KPIs and benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance
● Coordinates with the FP&A Analyst the analysis, explanation, and follow-up for a significant budget
differences
● Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on revenue assurance, project/cost accounting,
profitability improvement, expense reductions, and business improvement
● Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit
● Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
● Supports CFO with regular and ad-hoc presentations to senior management and the board of directors
● Oversees training programs for the Accounting team and identifies training needs
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
● 8-10 years of related experience
● Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
● Excellent management and supervisory skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
● Ensures the Accounting team is committed to pragmatic business support and effective teamwork with
all functional areas of the company (i.e., Operations, HR, General Management)
● Positive “can-do”, results/solutions focus and attitude
● Proficient in accounting software such as Sage INTACCT
● High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
● Experience in construction and/or manufacturing industries preferred
● Experience with accounting software (ERP) implementation preferred
● 25% travel to other offices (2) in Florida and Atlanta as needed
