Our client, a growing and reputable manufacturing firm, is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join its growing team.

Responsibilities
- Implementing cost accounting procedures and methods consistent with corporate guidelines and objectives.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure all costs and inventory are accurately reported.
- Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Providing management with reports that specify and compare factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Assisting in month-end close of the general ledger.
- Conducting physical inventories and monitoring the cycle count program.
- Reviewing rates of depreciation, labor, and overhead and suggesting policy changes to improve numbers.
- Working closely with the production team to understand and manage factory overhead.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of new systems and procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred.
- 1 years Cost Accounting experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory standards.
