Job Details

• Conducting regular cost analyses on our products and services, comparing actual costs to estimates, and identifying reasons for variances.
• Assisting in the month-end close process and preparing monthly reports detailing cost trends and providing insightful analysis.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to develop cost reduction strategies and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintaining the General Ledger (GL), ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
• Preparing detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts by customer.
• Reviewing and auditing all job cost files, expenses, and overhead charges to ensure accuracy.
• Working closely with the finance team to improve processes and develop new reports that will help drive business decisions.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Performing ad-hoc analyses and projects as requested.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in monthly reporting and cost reduction strategies.
• Extensive experience in maintaining and managing GL.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with other financial software.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
