We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Cost Accountant to join our vibrant team in the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong foundation in financial analysis, accounting, cost allocation, variance analysis, margin analysis, budgeting, inventory valuation, GAAP, and IFRS. The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years of experience in a similar role and will play a pivotal part in our financial planning and decision-making processes. Responsibilities
As our Permanent Cost Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to our financial operations and strategic planning. These include
- Conducting regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and anomalies that could impact the business.
- Managing all aspects of accounting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Overseeing cost allocation processes, ensuring that all costs are accurately captured and allocated to the appropriate departments or projects.
- Performing variance and margin analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
- Developing and managing budgets, providing regular updates to management on financial performance.
- Conducting inventory valuation, ensuring that all inventory is accurately valued and accounted for.
- Collaborating with other departments to gather data and insights, and using this information to inform financial decision-making.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of education, skills, and experience that includes
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (such as CMA or CPA) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Extensive knowledge of financial analysis, cost allocation, variance analysis, margin analysis, budgeting, inventory valuation, GAAP, and IFRS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and other related tools.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
