Our client, a growing manufacturing firm, is seeking a Cost Accounting Leader to join its team!

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Conducting monthly closings, preparing and posting journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Developing and implementing effective standard cost systems.
• Preparing detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
• Working closely with the production and procurement teams to analyze manufacturing costs, identify variances, and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting, taking into account production costs, market trends, and company objectives.
• Participating in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Staying current with industry trends and advancements in cost accounting, participating in relevant professional development opportunities as needed.
  
  

Job Details

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related manufacturing/construction cost accounting
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear, concise reports.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• A high level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the company's financial policies and procedures.
