We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal defense law, be fluent in Spanish, and be a member of the Florida State Bar. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including misdemeanors and felonies
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Negotiate plea bargains and settlements with prosecutors
- Attend court hearings and trials to advocate for clients
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the legal process
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, judges, and other legal professionals
- Stay up-to-date with changes in criminal law and legal precedents
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff to provide the best possible legal representation to clients
- Must be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing
- 1 years of experience as a criminal defense attorney
- Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal highly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a high caseload and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and legal professionals
