Job Details

Job Title : Member Support Specialist

Location : On-site (Hybrid after training period)

Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM CST

Position Overview :

We are seeking a Member Support Specialist to join our team and provide exceptional customer service to Costco members. This role will be responsible for handling incoming calls, identifying customer needs, and directing them to the appropriate resources, whether it be the local dealer, BDM, technical support, or another team. You’ll be a crucial part of ensuring members receive timely and accurate support, guiding them through their inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

This position offers the potential for temporary-to-hire, and the right candidate could grow into additional responsibilities over time. A strong candidate will be someone who is eager to learn, adaptable, and passionate about delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Handle inbound calls from Costco members, ensuring that each inquiry is addressed with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Assess whether the issue involves dealer units or if it needs escalation to local dealers, BDM, technical support, or other relevant departments.
  • Use Zendesk for ticketing and follow-up on customer issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide updates in the ticketing system.
  • Potentially take on Costco reporting duties if the role transitions to permanent.
  • Work closely with the customer service team, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
  • Provide proactive customer service to help resolve issues and escalate when needed.
  • Ideal Candidate Qualifications :

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience, ideally in a retail or service-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, able to maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel is preferred.
  • Zendesk experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong willingness to learn new skills and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
  • Must be comfortable with an on-site role initially, with hybrid flexibility once fully trained.
