We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Facility Engineering to join our dynamic team in the Healthcare industry. This position will provide strategic leadership, oversight, and management over the engineering, maintenance, and operations of our healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our healthcare facilities are compliant with all regulatory standards, safe, efficient, and conducive for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the operations, maintenance, and engineering of all healthcare facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and patient-friendly.
2. Develop and implement strategic facility plans, including infrastructure planning, space utilization, and layout designs.
3. Manage and coordinate the budget for facility operations, maintenance, and engineering, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
4. Collaborate with other department heads to ensure facility plans align with the healthcare organization's strategic goals.
5. Ensure all healthcare facilities are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
6. Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance programs for all healthcare facilities.
7. Lead and manage the facility engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
8. Handle emergency situations or facility issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to healthcare services.
9. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders on facility construction or renovation projects.
10. Regularly evaluate and report on the performance of facility operations, maintenance, and engineering activities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility engineering, operations, and maintenance, preferably in the healthcare industry.
3. Proven experience in strategic facility planning, budget management, and team leadership.
4. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to healthcare facilities.
5. Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing large-scale facility projects.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle emergency situations promptly and effectively.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
8. High level of integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.
9. Proficiency in using facility management software and other related technology.
10. Certification as a Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or similar will be considered an advantage.
