Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Plant Oversight
Provide leadership and direction to all manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, supply chain, and inventory management.
Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production goals, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
Continuous Improvement
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
Analyze production metrics and identify areas for improvement in processes, equipment utilization, and workforce efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate waste, reduce downtime, and improve throughput.
Strategic Planning
Partner with the executive team to develop long-term operational strategies aligned with the company’s goals and growth plans.
Lead capacity planning efforts to ensure the organization is well-positioned to meet future demand.
Oversee capital projects, including the selection and installation of new equipment and technologies.
Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a collaborative and accountable work culture.
Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports.
Champion employee engagement initiatives to enhance retention and productivity.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in overseeing plant operations and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
Proficient in manufacturing technologies, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
