Job Details
An Electrical Engineer in the MEPF (Mechanical/Engineering/Plumbing/Fire Protection) Practice shall provide electrical power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm design. Project types include...
- Museums, Universities, Performing Arts Centers.
- Restaurants & entertainment
- High end residential
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Produce/maintain design drawings & specifications from schematic design through construction administration
- Conduct field surveys and construction observation
- Engage with clients and staff in order to manage and coordinate scope and schedule
- Design projects with sustainability in mind - LEED
Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
- Minimum of 2 years experience designing electrical systems
- Must have experience within MEPF space, working on commercial projects. Projects with greater levels of complexity and aesthetic appeal are a big plus!
- Proficient in Revit 3D to layout receptacles, panelboards, equipment, lighting/control, and fire alarm devices
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Familiarity with building codes (NEC & IECC)
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, but not required
- PE license or EIT certification is preferred.
