Electrical Projects & Controls Technician/Electrician
">This position is responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and implementation of process control solutions for our wood products facilities. The Electrical Projects and Controls Tech will assist with capital projects, facility maintenance, and shutdown activities to ensure facility safety and minimal impact to production.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Examine facility processes to develop and implement changes and new designs that improve efficiency and productivity. ">
- Provide technical support of Programmable Logical Controller based hardware and software while utilizing electronic and mechanical theories and principles to troubleshoot and solve problems. ">
- Provide ongoing informal and formal training for electrical crew to ensure development of good operating and maintenance practices within areas of expertise. ">
- Work closely with electrical supervisors to maintain all documentation related to process control system configuration including SOP's. ">
- Assist with planning and budgeting for facility shutdown activities. ">
- Maintain a culture of efficiency and the ability to react quickly to downtime events. ">
- Work with operational teams to support and/or lead continuous improvement of assets and asset performance. ">
- Assist with planning and coordination of technical design and engineering implementation of project work under the direction of the Electrical and Process Control Engineer. ">
Requirements:

- Thorough knowledge of facility equipment and processes and the ability to troubleshoot potential issues within the electrical and/or control systems. ">
- Proficient using personal computers and associated software (MS Suite, Access, SQL, CMMS, AutoCAD, Rockwell Software, etc.). ">
- Oregon electrical license required if based in Lakeview, OR. ">
- Working experience with Allen-Bradley, FactoryTalk, Ignition or equivalent. ">
