Job Details

Our law firm is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Employment Litigation Associate to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our fast-paced litigation team, handling a broad range of employment-related disputes and issues.

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of litigation matters from inception through to conclusion, including responding to pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations.
• Providing advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of employment laws, including wage and hour laws, workplace safety, rest break laws, and more.
• Drafting and revising employee handbooks and other employment policies and procedures.
• Representing clients in court and before administrative agencies.
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda, briefs, and pleadings.
• Developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and understand and navigate successfully within the intricacies of a complex litigation.
  
  

Qualifications

• A JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Admission to the Oregon Bar.
• A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
• Proven experience handling litigation matters from start to finish, including responding to pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations.
• Expertise in employment laws and experience drafting and revising employee handbooks and other employment policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal information clearly and persuasively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle large amounts of data and detail with accuracy.
• A commitment to client service and a creative and entrepreneurial approach to practicing law.
