Job Details

Responsibilities

As an Entry Level Buyer, you will be responsible for the following tasks

• Managing and coordinating the purchasing process of raw materials, components, and other necessary items from pre-established suppliers.
• Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed and maintaining relationships with key suppliers.
• Forecasting upcoming demand for products and materials and ensuring that inventory is maintained at appropriate levels.
• Working closely with the production and planning teams to ensure that all materials are available when needed.
• Participating in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers.
• Keeping detailed records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Developing and implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Resolving issues related to delivered goods, including discrepancies in quantity and quality.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for the Entry Level Buyer position, you must have the following qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive problem solver who is able to work independently and as part of a team.
