Job Details
We're seeking an associate attorney with 3-5 years of law firm experience in complex estate planning matters, including trusts, wills, estates, and tax-related planning. The ideal candidate will have experience with taxable estates and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently. Strong academic credentials, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive, adaptable mindset in a fast-paced environment are essential. An LLM in Estate Planning or Taxation is preferred but not required. Admission to the Michigan bar is required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute complex estate planning cases, ensuring clients' wealth preservation and transfer objectives are met.
Collaborate with clients to develop tailored estate plans, including drafting trusts, wills, and related documents.
Provide counsel on tax-related planning and strategies for taxable estates.
Maintain exceptional attention to detail and deliver outstanding client service.
Stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations to provide informed advice.
