Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to create accurate and detailed cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure estimates meet project requirements and deadlines
- Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients, including detailed cost breakdowns and timelines
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing and terms
- Monitor project costs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure profitability
- Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive bidding
- 2 years of experience in the construction industry as an estimator or similar role
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawing s
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
