Are you a seasoned professional in the construction industry with a knack for accurate estimation and budgeting? We are searching for a dedicated, detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role where you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, including materials, labor, and time. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the Multifamily construction sector and a proven track record of delivering successful estimates that lead to profitable projects.

Are you a seasoned professional in the construction industry with a knack for accurate estimation and budgeting? We are searching for a dedicated, detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role where you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, including materials, labor, and time. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the Multifamily construction sector and a proven track record of delivering successful estimates that lead to profitable projects.
Responsibilities
As a Construction Estimator, your duties will include but are not limited to
- Analyze and comprehend project blueprints, technical drawings, and other project specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Conduct thorough risk analysis and prepare detailed cost reports.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors on project cost estimates.
- Evaluate the profitability and viability of a product or service using risk analysis software.
- Engage in bid preparation and submission process, including preparing cost breakdowns and tracking changes that can affect project costs.
- Consult with industry experts to resolve cost discrepancies and discrepancies in project documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on market trends, prices, and new products.
- Prepare and present cost information for the management team, clients, and project teams.
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator in the Multifamily construction sector.
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in computer software for job costing, scheduling, estimating, and project management (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Strong mathematical and IT skills, with an ability to visualize complex spatial layouts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and estimates.
- Professional certification in estimating or a related field would be an added advantage.
