Responsibilities
As a Permanent Estimator, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Developing comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Conducting thorough risk analysis to identify potential issues and provide appropriate solutions.
- Collaborating with project managers and other team members to formulate budgets and bid packages.
- Analyzing RFPs and other project documentation to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Utilizing advanced project estimation techniques to anticipate potential project costs and financial risks.
- Leveraging your expertise in cost management to optimize resource allocation and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Preparing and presenting detailed reports on project estimates and budgets to stakeholders and senior management.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in construction estimation and cost management.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project estimation and cost management in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in construction estimating, project bidding, budgeting, and RFP.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using estimation and project management software.
- A solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- A team player mentality, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
