Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost budgets and cost estimates for new and existing product lines using a variety of data sources.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential challenges and review design options for cost optimization.
- Utilize BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other estimation software to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to provide advice on construction cost and feasibility.
- Prepare and submit competitive project bids, ensuring that all aspects of the project are factored into the estimate.
- Monitor and track project costs, adjusting estimates and budgets as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, cost trends, and the competitive environment to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Estimator.
- Proficiency in cost analysis, budgeting, blueprint reading, and estimation software.
- Extensive experience with commercial and/or industrial construction projects.
- Proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
