As a Extrusion Operator, you will be an integral part of our dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing team. You will work to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our extrusion machines, which are vital to our plastic manufacturing process. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work well under pressure. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion machines to ensure they are running efficiently and producing high-quality products.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on extrusion machines to prevent and resolve any issues.
• Use forklift to move materials as needed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist in the setup and changeover of extrusion machines, including adjusting settings and replacing parts as needed.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet our strict quality standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Record and report any issues or irregularities to the supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an extrusion operator or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in operating and maintaining extrusion machines.
• Experience with plastic manufacturing is preferred.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods.
