We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company by providing insight and guidance on financial decisions. This position is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who has a keen interest in the strategic planning and financial management of a leading engineering firm. The role requires a high level of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation by creating forecasts and budgets, understanding cash flow, and maintaining ledger accuracy.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, or related field, preferably in the engineering industry.
• Proven proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and ledger.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial planning software.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc. is a plus.
