Job Details
Yard in West Columbia, South Carolina - we work within 3 hour radius
Responsibilities
Maintenance Perform routine maintenance, oil and filter changes, and inspections
Repairs Repair and replace generators, motors, and related components
Troubleshooting Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions
Fuel systems Diagnose and repair fuel systems and fuel system components
Electronic controls Diagnose, repair, replace, and calibrate electronic controls and sensors
Preventative maintenance Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems
Emergency repairs Perform emergency repairs during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends, and holidays
Record keeping Keep accurate records and maintain activity logs
Customer service Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Specialized training, such as a certificate or associate degree
Knowledge of fire codes, state and federal safety regulations, and internal combustion engines
Physical stamina
Experience in power generation or diesel mechanics
