Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of heavy civil construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Supervise and manage a team of subcontractors, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and other technical documents.
- Manage change orders, ensuring that any changes to the project scope are properly documented and approved.
- Implement and manage quality control processes, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds the required standards.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and project managers.
- Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the construction process.
- Plan and manage site logistics, ensuring that all materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates on project progress and addressing any issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience within the heavy civil construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing subcontractors and overseeing large construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and other technical documents.
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and compliance.
- Proven experience in managing change orders and quality control processes.
- Excellent project management and site management skills.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- A degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
