We are seeking a motivated and experienced Permanent Hospital Controller to join our dynamic team. This remote position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional seeking to apply their expertise in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing hospital financial operations, implementing financial strategies, and maintaining excellent financial health. This role will require a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry, as well as strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Hospital Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our healthcare organization. Your primary duties will include

• Directing and coordinating all hospital financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Overseeing the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
• Analyzing financial details to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
• Collaborating with hospital executives to develop financial strategies and make prudent decisions.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Reviewing audit reports and taking necessary actions to correct identified discrepancies.
• Managing relationships with external auditors and investigating their findings and recommendations.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA is required!
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role within a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare financial laws and regulations.
• Proven experience in auditing, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in financial software and databases.
• The ability to work remotely, with a flexible schedule to accommodate meetings and events in different time zones.
