The successful candidate will join our team to manage and maintain our High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of high-performance computing (HPC) systems.
- Perform system administration tasks, including user account management, application installation and configuration, system monitoring, problem diagnosis, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement new systems and infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of HPC systems.
- Work closely with users to assist with problem-solving, optimization, and scaling of applications.
- Maintain system documentation and develop procedures to ensure system integrity.
- Manage system backups and data storage, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Monitor system performance and utilization, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure the security of the HPC systems, implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to users, ensuring efficient and effective use of HPC resources.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearanace (TS/SCI preferred).
- Current Security and Linux certs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration with a focus on HPC environments.
- Proven experience with Linux system administration and scripting.
- Strong knowledge of network and storage systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
