A fast-moving and well-established energy company—supported by some of the industry’s most recognized investors—is looking for an in-office HR Assistant to join their Human Resources department on a short-term basis. This contract position is based in Jeannette, PA, and is intended to cover a medical leave, initially expected to last 6 weeks with the potential for extension depending on department needs and individual performance.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong administrative background, familiarity with Workday, and the ability to operate in a highly confidential and deadline-driven environment. This is a 100% on-site role, Monday through Friday.

As an HR Assistant, you’ll be integral in keeping the Human Resources operations running smoothly during a period of staff absence. Your focus will be on administrative support across a variety of HR functions while ensuring accuracy, discretion, and efficiency in your work.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the HR department
- Maintain HR records and assist with data entry in Workday
- Prepare and process documents, reports, and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes as needed
- Coordinate with internal departments and respond to routine HR-related inquiries
- Help manage employee files and ensure compliance with company record-keeping policies
- Assist with scheduling and meeting coordination for HR-related matters
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related
- At least 5 years of experience in a Human Resources support role
- Hands-on experience with Workday HRIS is required
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Jeannette, PA
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
