Job Description
The HVAC Controls Technician is responsible for installing and repairing control systems, applying judgment and discretion when testing and repairing these systems. Key responsibilities include performing point-to-point check-out, commissioning, diagnostic, and maintenance procedures on building automation systems; troubleshooting and repairing building automation system panels; editing computer programs for building automation system points; and maintaining project-related documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must have 3 years of experience in building automation (BAS/BMS) or commercial HVAC controls; be willing to work locally at client sites approximately 80% of the time; and possess familiarity with one or more BAS systems, including Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or other.
