Our company is looking for a dedicated HVAC Controls Technician to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. You will be part of a vibrant and dynamic team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires an extensive understanding of DDC controls, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, ensuring they are consistent with plans and specifications.
• Inspect and test HVAC systems and their components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify
  
  

necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance.

• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems, including DDC controls.
• Interpret blueprints and project plans for job-site implementation.
• Ensure HVAC systems and procedures adhere to policies, standards, and laws.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction crew to ensure HVAC systems are installed and functioning correctly.
• Provide excellent service to meet client expectations.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
• Assist in the training and development of junior team members.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC control systems.
• Demonstrable knowledge of HVAC systems, installation and repair, and comprehensive understanding of DDC controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in mechanical engineering is a plus.
