The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets across our organization. This includes hardware, software, networking equipment, and licensing. The role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The IT Asset Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our IT assets are efficiently managed and utilized to support our healthcare operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets across our organization. This includes hardware, software, networking equipment, and licensing. The role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The IT Asset Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our IT assets are efficiently managed and utilized to support our healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT asset management standards, policies, and procedures to ensure effective asset management practices.
- Oversee the procurement process of IT assets, ensuring that all assets are procured in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, networking equipment, and licenses.
- Regularly analyze IT asset data to identify opportunities for cost savings, improved efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with IT, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure that IT assets are optimally utilized and appropriately accounted for.
- Manage the lifecycle of all IT assets, from procurement and deployment to maintenance and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including software licensing and data protection.
- Lead efforts to resolve any issues related to IT assets, such as hardware failures, software issues, or licensing disputes.
- Continually monitor industry trends and advancements in IT asset management practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT asset management, procurement, preferably within multi site environments. Experience in developing business cases, conducting vendor negotiations, and managing vendor relationships.
- Proven experience in managing the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking equipment.
- Familiarity with software licensing laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications in IT asset management, such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), are highly desirable.
