We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded firmware development, particularly in bare metal firmware programming. You will be working with a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement firmware for our next-generation products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and testing of embedded firmware for our products.
• Work closely with the hardware engineering team to ensure seamless integration of firmware and hardware.
• Develop firmware in C/C for bare metal and RTOS environments.
• Utilize communication protocols such as Modbus, SPI, RS485, and CAN Bus J1939.
• Use version control systems like Git and SVN for software development.
• Work with NXP processors, motor drives, DSPs, and permanent magnet motors.
• Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues, and provide solutions to enhance system performance.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
• Proficient in C/C programming.
• Experience with bare metal firmware programming.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, SPI, RS485, and CAN Bus J1939.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and SVN.
• Familiarity with NXP processors, motor drives, DSPs, and permanent magnet motors.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot firmware issues.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead a team and mentor junior engineers.
