Linux Systems Administrator (TS/SCI Poly)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Linux Systems Administrator to join our dynamic and growing team. This role is an integral part of our technology team and is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks.
Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Responsible for managing and maintaining Linux servers to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all system hardware, software, and networks. : Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. - <>: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for server configuration, network topology, and system maintenance procedures.
: Participate in the design and implementation of system security strategies, policies, and procedures. : Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures, ensuring data security and integrity. : Collaborate with the IT team in managing network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and other devices. : Provide technical support to the team and troubleshoot any issues related to the Linux servers and high-performance computing. : Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends and make recommendations for system improvements.
Qualifications:
- <>: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
- <>: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator.
: Active TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph clearance is required. : Strong knowledge of High Performance Computing, RedHat, Linux Servers, and SUSE Linux. : Solid understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. - <>: Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux-based environments.
