Are you passionate about law and have a knack for litigation? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Litigation Associate to join our robust legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive legal professional to further their career in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The successful candidate will be integral to our team, providing critical support in a variety of litigation matters. This position requires a minimum of 1 years of experience as a licensed attorney, with a specific focus on general civil litigation.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Litigation Associate, your primary responsibilities will be

• Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and other legal documents.
• Conducting depositions of parties and witnesses.
• Researching and interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations applicable to cases.
• Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants, and liaising with clients to prepare for trial.
• Developing strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
• Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil or criminal litigation.
• Negotiating settlements in civil disputes.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications

• A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas
• A minimum of 1 years of litigation experience, with experience in insurance defense preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
