Job Details
The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for clients, and analyzing the probable outcomes of cases.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
- Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
- Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions.
- Conduct legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
- MEDiate disputes and guide clients through the legal process.
- Manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Handle debt collection cases, landlord and tenant litigation, mechanic's liens, and construction litigation.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in debt collection, construction, landlord litigation, landlord tenant, landlord and tenant litigation, mechanic's liens, and construction litigation.
- Proven experience in legal research and mediation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
