Responsibilities
- Evaluating and analyzing loan applications, including the collection and organization of supporting financial documents from applicants.
- Assisting clients throughout the loan application process, providing guidance and answering questions to ensure a smooth and successful application experience.
- Utilizing your knowledge of all loan types – working capital, acquisition, renovation, new construction – to best serve our clients’ needs.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored loan solutions.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure the timely processing and closing of loans.
- Keeping up-to-date with current industry trends, regulations, and lending practices to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Initially focusing on charter schools or other school types, with the potential to expand into other community facility asset classes like early childhood education, workforce development, and workforce housing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a loan officer or similar role, with a strong understanding of loan origination and credit.
- Experience with all loan types – working capital, acquisition, renovation, and new construction.
- Proven experience in collecting and organizing supporting financial documents from applicants.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on a thorough analysis of information.
- Knowledge of the education sector, specifically charter schools or other school types, would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
