Job Summary: As the Senior Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing the company's logistics operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of the logistics team, ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and other applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement logistical plans and strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor the performance of logistics operations, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular meetings with the team to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and address any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth flow of goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption.
- Prepare and present reports on logistics operations to senior management, providing recommendations for improvements as necessary.
- Train and develop team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a logistics supervisory role within the Manufacturing industry.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and other applicable laws, policies, and procedures related to logistics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, and senior management.
- Proficient in the use of logistics software and other relevant computer applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong commitment to achieving operational excellence.
