We are looking for an innovative and experienced Machine Design Engineer to join our team! This is a permanent position on our team where you will have the opportunity design and build custom manufacturing equipment for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance manufacturing equipment and automation systems using SolidWorks and other software tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product specifications and develop solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct detailed mechanical design work including 3D modeling, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with the required design standards, safety regulations and customer specifications.
- Implement and maintain ISO 9001 procedures in all design processes.
- Apply GD&T techniques to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions for design issues.
- Continuously research and implement new design technologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine design in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Solid understanding of GD&T principles and their application in design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements.
