We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about maintaining and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production machinery and mechanical equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery issues.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about maintaining and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production machinery and mechanical equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery issues.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Maintenance Mechanic, your key responsibilities will include
- Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all production and facility equipment in accordance with safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems.
- Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and adjusting.
- Performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Complying with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
- Assisting and training production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
- Participating in continuous improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficient knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
- Excellent understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy machinery parts and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
