Are you a skilled professional with a knack for problem-solving, a deep understanding of mechanical systems, and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards? If so, we are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the Food Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of our high-tech machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance department.
• Maintain an inventory of all equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
• Collaborate with other department heads to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
• Monitor and control maintenance costs, striving for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements, implementing new strategies and technologies as appropriate.
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to quality control standards, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
• Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities to maintenance staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing.
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge, with the ability to understand and work with complex machinery and equipment.
• Strong understanding and commitment to quality control and safety compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and perform under pressure.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage, motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
• Proficient in the use of computer software programs related to maintenance management.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a manufacturing environment.
