Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and other material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs for key equipment and machinery.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong technical understanding with an ability to demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.
• Proven experience with machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Solid electrical skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Experience in creating and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A relevant certificate or diploma in a related field would be considered an asset.
