We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Materials Science Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to optimizing and improving the manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis, development, and testing of materials used in our products, ensuring they meet the required quality and safety standards. This role requires a deep understanding of metallography, failure analysis, and ISO standards, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Materials Science Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to optimizing and improving the manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis, development, and testing of materials used in our products, ensuring they meet the required quality and safety standards. This role requires a deep understanding of metallography, failure analysis, and ISO standards, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed failure analyses to determine the root cause of material failures and develop effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Utilize metallography techniques to investigate the structure and properties of metals used in manufacturing processes.
- Ensure all materials and processes adhere to ISO standards and other relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with the design and manufacturing teams to select the best materials for each application, considering factors such as cost, product specifications, and sustainability.
- Lead the development and implementation of new materials and manufacturing processes to improve product performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Conduct regular tests on materials and processes to ensure they meet the required quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of materials and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in materials science and incorporate relevant findings into our processes.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and other team members.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in metallography and failure analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and other relevant regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective solutions to complex issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as CAD and simulation software.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
