We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Permanent Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for creating and improving mechanical systems. The role involves working on a variety of projects, from designing and developing new products to improving existing ones. The successful candidate will have a strong background in 3D printing, design engineering, FEA, and design for manufacturability.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop mechanical systems and products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials, and soliciting observations from operators.
2. Develop and implement complex mechanical solutions by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
3. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
4. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
5. Evaluate mechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
6. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
7. Develop designs for automation and control panel systems, and program Rockwell automation.
8. Work with Cognex, packaging, system integration, and machine integration.
9. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
2. 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
3. Proficient in 3D Printing, Design Engineering, FEA, Design for Manufacturability.
4. Experience with controls integration, automation, control panel design.
5. Proficiency in programming Rockwell automation, Cognex, packaging, system integration, and machine integration.
6. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work in a team and independently.
10. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
11. Excellent project management skills.
